Terms of Service
Audja Makers is the design community of Audja. Makers publish 3D-printable designs, everyone downloads and prints them for free, and Audja rewards the makers with points, levels and a monthly prize pool. These terms are the agreement between you and MTR Studio, the company behind Audja, for using the site. Please read them; by creating an account, publishing or downloading you accept them.
1. Who we are
Audja Makers ("Makers", "the site") is operated by MTR Studio ("Audja", "we", "us"), registered in Estonia. You can reach us at support@audja.com.
Makers is part of the Audja product family. Your Audja account works on Makers, on the Audja beta portal and inside the Audja application; the Audja software itself is covered by its own license agreement.
2. Your account
- You need an Audja account with a confirmed email address to publish, comment, like, boost, share prints or earn rewards. Browsing and downloading do not need an account.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have a parent's or guardian's permission, to hold an account.
- One person, one account. Keep your password private; everything done with your account is your responsibility.
- Your username and profile are public. Do not impersonate other people or brands.
- You can change your username, display name, avatar, bio, links and email preferences at any time in Rewards → Profile. To close your account, email us and we will remove it and, at your choice, your designs.
3. The service
- Every design on Makers is free to download and print. There are no paid downloads and no paid memberships.
- Makers can publish designs made with any software (STL, 3MF, ZIP and RAR archives and Audja project files, with pictures), share prints of other people's designs, comment, like, boost, follow makers and keep collections. An archive's file list is shown on the design page so people know what they download.
- We reward makers for the use of their designs with points, levels and a monthly prize pool. Section 7 and the Rewards Program Terms explain how.
- The service is provided as it is, may change, and may be paused or discontinued. We will give reasonable notice of major changes where we can.
4. Your designs and content
You own your work
You keep all rights to the designs, pictures, videos, notes and comments you publish ("your content"). Publishing on Makers does not transfer ownership to Audja or to anyone else.
What you allow Audja to do
So that we can run the site, you give Audja a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, resize, convert, display and distribute your content on Makers and in Audja's own apps and services, including previews, thumbnails, 3D previews, link previews and notification emails. This license ends when you remove the content, except for copies that other users already downloaded under the license you chose, and for a reasonable time in backups.
Makers at Gold level and above
Reaching Gold is a recognition, and it comes with promotion: you allow Audja to use pictures, renders and previews of your published designs as artwork in Audja's marketing, including announcements of new Audja versions, the Audja website and social media, always with credit to you and a link to your Makers profile. This is a license to show your work, not to sell your files. You can opt out by emailing us; we will stop using your work in new material.
What you promise about your content
- You created it, or you have the right to publish it under the license you pick. Remixes must respect the license of the original and credit its creator.
- Pictures show the actual design. The cover picture must be a real photograph of a printed copy. AI-generated or AI-altered pictures are not allowed anywhere in a listing; the Audja team removes them and may hide the design until a real photo is added. Renders may be added as extra pictures if the description says they are renders. Print photos you share are of prints you made.
- It does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, patent, privacy or other rights, and it does not contain malware.
- It follows the Community Guidelines.
Feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback about Makers or Audja, we may use them without owing you anything.
5. Licenses between makers and users
When you publish, you choose the license under which other people may use your design. The default is "Own design · personal use": people may download and print it for themselves and may not sell the files or the prints, remix it or re-upload it elsewhere without your permission. You can instead choose a Creative Commons license (CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC BY-NC or CC BY-ND). Licenses explained describes each one in plain words.
The license is a direct agreement between the maker and the person downloading. Audja is not a party to it and does not enforce it for you, but we do act on takedown requests (section 8). Downloaders must respect the license shown on every design page.
6. What you may not publish or do
- Work you do not have the right to publish, including copies or minor edits of other people's designs, scans of commercial models or files taken from other sites.
- Sexual content involving minors, content that sexualises real people without consent, or adult content that is not marked as adult.
- Designs of functional firearms, firearm parts or other weapons that are illegal where you or we are, and anything else illegal.
- Hate, harassment, threats or doxxing, in designs, pictures, comments or profiles.
- AI-generated or AI-altered pictures, pictures that are not of the actual design, or a cover that is not a real photo of a print.
- Spam, duplicate uploads, keyword stuffing, misleading titles or pictures, or advertising unrelated products in descriptions.
- Fake activity: downloading, printing, boosting or liking your own designs from other accounts, trading such actions with others, using bots or scripts, or otherwise manipulating points, levels or the leaderboard.
- Scraping the site, bypassing rate limits, or attacking the service or other users.
7. Points, levels and prizes
Downloads, shared prints and boosts by signed-in accounts give the maker points; points set the maker's level; each calendar month the most-downloaded designs share a fixed prize pool. The complete rules, eligibility, payout methods and fraud rules are in the Rewards Program Terms, which are part of these terms. Points and levels have no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred; prizes are paid only as described there. We may change or end the program with notice; changes never take away prizes already approved.
8. Moderation, takedowns and termination
- We may hide or remove content, void points, disqualify designs from prizes, suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the Community Guidelines. Where possible we tell you why and let you reply by email.
- Rights holders can report infringing designs through the takedown request form or by email. We answer within 3 business days and remove infringing content. Repeat infringers lose their account. If you believe a removal was a mistake, email us with the details and we will look again.
- You can stop using Makers at any time and delete your content or account.
- Sections 4 (the license for copies already downloaded), 9, 10, 11 and 13 survive the end of the agreement.
9. Audja's own content and brand
The Makers site, its design, code, text, logos and the "Audja" and "Audja Makers" names belong to MTR Studio. Designs published under the "Official" shelf belong to Audja and are licensed as shown on their pages. You may not use our brand to suggest endorsement without our written agreement.
10. No warranty
Designs on Makers are made by community members. We do not check that a design prints, fits, is safe or is suitable for any purpose. Print settings, material notes and descriptions are the maker's words, not ours. Anything you print, you print at your own risk, and you are responsible for how it is used. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, MTR Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data arising from the use of Makers or of any design on it, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to €100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for intent, gross negligence or the rights you have as a consumer.
You will indemnify MTR Studio against claims by third parties that arise from content you published in breach of section 4 or 6.
12. Changes to the service or these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will show a notice on the site or email you at least 14 days in advance; continuing to use Makers after that date means you accept the new terms. If you do not, stop using the service and, if you wish, close your account. The current version is always at makers.audja.com/terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Disputes go to the courts of Estonia, unless you are a consumer in the EU, in which case you keep the protections and the court of your country of residence. EU consumers can also use the online dispute resolution platform.
